July 07 20092009-07-07A photograph of a seated figure on an ornate gold throne with red cushions, draped in orange saffron robes and wearing a long rudraksha-style necklace, with long dark hair. Devotees in white ritual clothes surround him; a man in white kneels and offers a garland of flowers, another man in orange robes and beaded necklaces holds a brass tray, and women in white saris stand nearby with hands raised in offering. The throne is decorated with gold filigree and a crescent motif, with floral garlands hanging behind. The scene resembles a guru puja or bhiksha offering.2008-07-17A photo of a seated figure on an ornate gold throne with red cushions, surrounded by floral decorations in white, red, pink and yellow. The seated man wears a saffron-orange garment and a long white and red flower garland, with long swept-back hair, and smiles as he extends his hands. Beside him, a woman in a white sari with a red beaded necklace holds a brass tray or plate near his hands. Behind the throne stand two attendants, one in an orange garment and one in white with a rudraksha mala, and a young man in white on the right. The overall setting is a ceremonial welcome or felicitation on a stage. The seated man is a probable Swamiji by appearance cues: long swept-back hair, saffron clothing, and a flower garland, presented as a seated honoured figure.2008-07-17November 10 20152015-11-10July 07 20092009-07-07January 01 20122012-01-01July 07 20092009-07-07A photograph of a seated figure on an ornate gold throne with a tiger-striped cushion, wearing a golden crown, a red-orange robe, a long white and pink garland, and heavy gold necklaces and bangles. Several people in white ritual dress with orange-brown rudraksha malas kneel at his feet, handling small plastic-wrapped packets set on red trays, while a woman in a white sari with a pink border leans in to help. A trident and a silver lamp stand nearby, and a gold-carved backdrop fills the frame. The figure's feet rest in a large orange and gold draped basin of offerings. Swamiji (probable): the seated figure has a crown, saffron-red clothing, a rudraksha-style necklace and a gold throne, matching the page's event context.2016-05-24July 07 20092009-07-07May 03 20142014-05-03July 03 20122012-07-03A seated figure in an orange saffron robe and orange shawl sits on a golden throne decorated with large garlands of red, yellow and purple flowers. He wears a long multi-strand gold necklace, red flower garlands and gold bangles, and holds a white trident-topped staff. He smiles with open arms. Two men in white dhotis with gold borders bow at his feet, one placing a hand on the head of a kneeling devotee, while an elderly woman bows low in white clothing among heaps of marigold and rose petals. Golden throne-base carvings and a kalasha-like vessel are visible. The figure's appearance with long swept-back hair, saffron robes, ornate gold necklace and garlands matches the page's Swamiji reference (probable), seated on a peetha in a darshan setting.2012-01-01
