January 01 20032003-01-01January 01 20032003-01-01A seated figure in saffron-orange robes and a matching orange turban sits on a carved wooden lion-headed throne decorated with white flower garlands, smiling as he receives a printed poster from a woman. The woman wears a white sari with a red-bordered design, a red lanyard and a beaded necklace, and holds one end of a large printed sheet showing a saffron-robed figure. Another woman in a teal sari and a man in a white shirt with red lanyards stand behind, and a dark-jacketed man is also visible. Blue and silver draped curtains and flowers form the backdrop of an evening event. The seated figure's identity is not established from appearance alone.2003-01-01January 01 20032003-01-01March 03 20092009-03-03Night photo of a Maha Shivaratri satsang. A long-haired man in saffron-orange robes, an orange shawl and a gold-bead necklace smiles as he hands small red objects toward women seated at a golden lion-shaped seat in the foreground. Several men in orange robes with white forehead markings and gold necklaces stand behind, and a woman in white and a woman in black lean forward holding papers. Flower garlands in red, orange, yellow and purple decorate the backdrop. The man in saffron is recognizable by his long hair, shawl and gold beads, so this appearance-based match is labelled Swamiji (probable) as a seated speaker distributing items during the event.2013-03-10Evening outdoor event under a white canopy with green stage lights. A figure with long dark hair and an orange robe sits on an ornate golden throne with a cobra-hood backrest, decorated with garlands of yellow, purple and orange flowers, and gold-wrapped bases. A saffron-robed attendant stands behind holding a paper. A kneeling man in white with glasses hands over a document to the seated figure, while a woman in a green blouse and pink-and-green sari presses her palms together. Seated devotees in white and blue watch from the sides. The orange-robed figure has long swept-back hair, orange clothing and a rudraksha mala, which are cues consistent with a person, but appearance alone is not enough to confirm identity.2009-02-23November 29 20092009-11-29July 28 20082008-07-28Night outdoor event lit by tall floodlight towers, with a string of small yellow and white lights and decorative bunting overhead. A man in an orange turban and orange robe, wearing a thick white flower garland, sits on a raised cushioned seat holding a sheet of paper and smiling. Before him is a silver tray of red apples. Beside him, a second man in an orange robe and long gold-beaded necklace stands holding a small vessel. A crowd of devotees in white shirts, saris and kurtas stands and sits in front, with a woman in a sari and glasses near the center and a young woman with reddish hair at the lower left. Large audience visible in the background.2010-01-08November 16 20052005-11-16A crowded gathering of devotees in white dhotis and saris surrounds a central figure seated on the floor in front of a large printed portrait of a man in an orange turban against a purple backdrop. The seated person wears an orange robe and a long white and pink flower garland, and smiles. Several people kneel and sit around him, some with flower-decorated hair. A man in an orange shawl and a cameraman with a video camera stand to the right, and small colourful balloons hang at the upper right.2006-09-23
