A small black Shiva-lingam style stone with marigold garland rests on red-flower offerings at the base of the murti. Beside a black stone deity murti with a gold necklace, its arch wreathed in yellow, red, white and purple flower garlands, a red earthen mound and a small black stone pedestal carry further flower strands. Behind him, a group of devotees in white kurtas and dhotis, some in orange, stand with hands folded in anjali. A bare-chested man with a red-and-gold scarf and beaded necklaces stands at the left edge. The scene reads as a puja or padapuja at a shrine, though the figure's identity is not established from appearance.2016-12-03Outdoor puja before a garlanded black stone deity murti in a golden-framed shrine under shady trees. The murti wears a green and red cloth, a gold dhoti-like drape and a thick garland of red, white and yellow flowers. In front, a brass oil lamp stands on a black mat while a man in a saffron/orange dhoti and bare chest holds a silver plate. To the right, a man with a red-orange turban and long hair, wearing a rudraksha mala and gold necklaces, stands with a silver bowl among several white-clad and orange-clad devotees. A photographer in white is at left centre. Red fencing and a tent appear in the background.2016-12-23
