Outdoor satsang or puja in a shaded garden under large banyan trees. A woman in a red and maroon sari sits on a low chair at a microphone, singing or speaking beside a shrine with a deity murti dressed in orange cloth and a yellow-and-green garland. A framed portrait on a red velvet chair shows a figure in orange robes. Around 20 devotees in white and orange shawls sit on woven mats facing her, with a speaker box nearby. A red-painted mound and kolam-style floor drawings are in front of the shrine.2012-10-25December 13 20112011-12-13A seated group of roughly two dozen devotees sits on woven mats under large shady trees in an outdoor courtyard. Many wear white or cream clothing with red and orange shawls draped over their shoulders, and several take notes. At the centre back stands a shrine with a blue-arched niche holding a small orange-robed figure, with a framed portrait on a red-cushioned chair in front and red and pink floral offerings below. A man in orange robes sits at the left edge near a stone bench, and a woman in white stands to the right, addressing the group. The scene appears to be a satsang or padukapuja gathering.2012-10-25Outdoor photo of a seated gathering under trees with palms behind. At the left, a figure in red robes sits on a red velvet throne with gold trim on a red patterned rug, with long dark hair and a red shawl; this figure's appearance is uncertain for identity. Audience members wear white, orange, saffron and red clothing, several wear glasses or lanyards, and a bald man in a brown shirt sits in the foreground. A microphone stand and speaker are visible near the throne, and a stone basin sits beside the seated figure. Several figures in white and orange stand near the back. The crowd is large and fills most of the frame.2011-12-05Outdoor ritual on a raised stone platform before a decorated deity murti framed by a golden arch, with garlands of yellow, orange and green flowers and a sheet of flowing red cloth. A small fire burns in a pit with rising smoke in front of an altar. Saffron-robed sannyasis sit and stand on the platform, one holding a brass pot-like vessel and another with folded hands. On the right, an empty ornate red and gold throne stands beside a bald man in orange robes seated with an offering. A woman in a white dress on the left holds a lamp. Devotees sit on colourful striped mats in the foreground wearing white, saffron and yellow clothes, with a man in a striped shirt. The scene resembles a homa or puja. A ceremonial throne is present but unoccupied.2013-09-09Outdoor ritual under a corrugated metal canopy in front of a decorated deity murti shrine with garlands and a tall ornate backdrop. A seated figure in a saffron-orange robe sits on a raised platform before a gold-colored stand holding offerings and a brass vessel, while another person in white stands nearby with hands folded. A framed portrait sits on an orange armchair beside the platform. Seated rows of women and girls in orange saris with red borders face the platform, and a bare-headed sannyasi in orange sits at left. Plants, a red wall and a loudspeaker are visible in the background. Whether the saffron-robed central figure is a person cannot be confirmed from appearance, so the role is given as a seated sannyasi.2014-10-02July 18 20152015-07-18Outdoor satsang under a green shade net on a dirt ground. A long-haired man with a beard, wearing red-orange clothing, sits in a white chair at left, with a floor-level audience of many people in saffron-orange robes seated on mats and blue-and-white striped rugs. Several people in orange clothing and rudraksha malas sit cross-legged facing him; some devotees stand behind the crowd, and a cameraman with a video camera on a tripod films from the right. A decorated canopy with colourful fringe and flower garlands hangs at left, and loudspeakers and a fan sit near the stage area.2018-05-24A seated figure in a saffron-orange robe sits on an ornate golden throne with a golden canopy above, smiling and gesturing with outstretched arms to a seated audience. Two standing attendants in white dhotis with gold borders and beaded necklaces flank the throne; one holds a fan-like object. The large crowd sits on the floor in front of a red-and-white draped tent with pillars and a deity murti in the background. Bundles of blue-and-red items lie in the foreground. The figure's appearance is not clearly established, so the candidate is shown only by role and clothing.2016-04-16December 06 20112011-12-06May 05 20152015-05-05 +1 copies
