February 09 20122012-02-09A photograph of an ornate gold throne with a red zebra-striped velvet seat and bolsters, topped by a gold umbrella canopy wreathed in white flower garlands. A gold footstool sits before it on a red carpet, with a yellow flower-decorated backdrop behind. At the right edge, a person in white robes with an orange shawl bows low toward the throne. The throne is empty and unoccupied in the frame. A printed caption in the lower-left corner reads Sri Nithyananda Paramashivam, and the gold footstool and base bear decorative script.2008-01-01A man seated on an ornate gold throne with red velvet cushions and a leopard-print cloth draped over the backrest. He wears a cream turban with a small jewelled ornament, a red-and-white beaded rudraksha-style mala necklace, bangles on his arms, and a turquoise blue sleeveless garment with silver trim. He has a red forehead mark, sits with hands clasped and bare feet resting on a gold footstool decorated with white flower petals. Brass oil lamps stand behind the throne and a small silver tray with red flowers sits at the left edge against a dark wall. Whether this is a person cannot be established from appearance alone, so the identity is marked unsure.2012-04-20December 11 20082008-12-11August 01 20102010-08-01A photograph of an empty ornate golden throne (peetha) set on a rug in a preparation room. The throne has a red cushioned seat and backrest, draped with garlands of white jasmine, marigold and green leaves, with red and yellow flower strands hanging from the sides. Gold carved side panels flank it, and brass oil lamps stand on either side. Behind it is a painted blue and gold mountain backdrop, with a trident (trishul) leaning at right. Two people in white clothing with red shawls work in the background, and a man in white shirt stands at right near a ladder. No one is seated on the throne.2010-12-22February 01 20152015-02-01A man seated on an ornate gold and red velvet throne, wearing a cream turban with a small jewelled ornament, a turquoise-blue draped garment, a multi-strand rudraksha-style red bead mala, and bangles on his arms. His bare feet rest on a gold footstool, with white flowers, pink lotus blossoms and a brass thali of offerings nearby. Two brass oil lamps stand behind him against a dark wall, and a tiger-stripe cloth lies across the throne back.2012-04-20October 15 20112011-10-15A seated figure in a red-orange garment sits on an ornate gold throne with a golden canopy and decorative back panel, hands pressed together in a namaskar gesture. Tall gold oil lamps with multiple flames stand on either side of the stage, and rows of small oil lamps line the front edge of the platform, glowing against a dark curtained backdrop. The setting resembles a lamp-lit festival stage during Karthikai Deepam. A faint blue bird logo appears at the upper left. The figure's appearance does not clearly establish an identity, so no candidate is named.2008-12-11A kneeling devotee in a saffron-and-red robe with a gold border prostrates before an ornate gold throne with carved lion and floral motifs. A striped tiger-skin cloth lies on the floor beneath the throne, with a steel plate of turmeric and offerings in front of it. A framed portrait on the throne shows a smiling figure in a red head-covering and garland, and a white-clad attendant stands in the background. A white pillar with red stripes and a pedestal fan are visible at left.2015-11-18A photograph of a padapuja ritual in a gilded interior with a black wall. A man with long dark hair, wearing an orange-saffron robe, rudraksha mala beads and a gold chain, sits on an ornate golden throne with lion-face armrests and a yellow cushion, his feet bared toward a tray. Seated devotees in white shirts and dhotis, one in a red saree and one in orange, pour water and arrange red flowers over brass plates and kalasha vessels on the floor. Hanging brass oil lamps and bells hang above, and a gold-framed carved deity relief sits in the upper right. Behind the throne, two saffron-clad attendants wear white head bands. Visible people are around ten. The seated figure is an appearance-based probable Swamiji (long hair, saffron robe, rudraksha mala, gold necklace) receiving padapuja.2013-05-19
