October 20 20122012-10-20Close-up photograph of a seated person's bare feet and ankles during a ritual, with a silver tray decorated with an elephant-head handle at the base. The person wears orange-saffron dhoti-style cloth with gold borders and red-and-gold beaded anklets. The feet rest on a red velvet platform with black tiger-stripe pattern, beside a gold-and-red cord. On the tray are green leaves, gold ornaments, white flowers and red offerings, consistent with a padapuja foot-worship offering. No face is visible.2012-10-16Close-up of a bare foot resting on a silver elephant-headed tray filled with flower petals, including pink roses, yellow marigold petals, green leaves and rudraksha beads, with a small gold kalasha-like vessel. The tray sits on a red velvet cushioned seat with a gold-framed base. A person in an orange-and-gold-bordered garment sits on the throne; the foot is being bathed in flower offerings as a padapuja.2012-09-29October 15 20122012-10-15September 13 20122012-09-13January 04 20132013-01-04Close-up photograph of a pair of bare feet resting on a silver tray decorated with lotus-petal relief and an elephant-head handle, with white flowers and a pink lotus bloom scattered around them. The feet emerge from a saffron-orange draped garment with a gold-bordered hem, set against an ornate gold-toned throne or pedestal. The scene reads as a foot-worship ritual (padapuja) before a seated figure whose face and body are cropped out of frame. The lower legs and feet are the only visible human body parts.2012-05-18Close-up photograph of bare feet resting on a silver tray filled with red rose petals and two small gold kalasha-shaped objects, set on a red fabric cushion with a black tiger-stripe pattern. A gold-trimmed edge of a throne or seat is visible at the right. A person in orange-red garments is seen at the top left with hands pressed together. The scene suggests a pada puja ritual, with the feet being honoured by flower offerings.2014-01-22Close-up photo of a bare-footed person in a rust-red garment with gold border standing on a polished silver tray. The tray has elephant-head handles and repoussé floral motifs. A pink lotus flower with white petals and stamens rests on the tray near the feet, and a gold ornamental vessel sits beside the toes. A hand wearing a gold bangle reaches in from the right to place or arrange the flowers. The setting is a temple or ashram ritual.2012-05-08 +1 copiesClose-up photograph of a padapuja ritual: a seated person's bare feet rest on a silver tray shaped like an elephant, surrounded by pink, yellow and white flower petals and white jasmine-like blossoms, with a small gold ornament placed among them. The person wears a saffron-orange cloth draped over the legs. On the left, a hand with a gold ring holds a flower above the tray. Silver bowls sit on a gold-plated pedestal with ornate gold carved panels, and green leaves frame the background.2009-08-15July 15 20162016-07-15Close view of a bare foot resting on a silver tray shaped like an elephant's head with a curled trunk. The tray holds yellow marigold petals, white flowers and a small golden kalasha-style pot. The foot wears an orange-and-gold garment at the top edge. Below sits a red velvet cushion on a gold-coloured base, with red and brown tiger-stripe fabric behind. This appears to be a padapuja, a ritual of honouring the feet, with no face visible.2012-10-05 +1 copies
