A photo of a homa fire ritual: a brick-lined fire pit holds a flaming wood fire, with a brass bowl of liquid offering set over the flames. A person's arm with white ash markings reaches in from the left, holding a wooden stick toward the fire. A cushioned wooden seat draped with a patterned cloth sits at upper right, and brass vessels rest on the floor at the lower left.2021-01-04Jan 24 2022 sripuram2022-01-24May 22 20152015-05-22December 10 20172017-12-10 +1 copiesPhoto 11727070 +1 copiesJanuary 30 20162016-01-30 +1 copiesPhoto 11714866 +2 copiesJuly 02 20162016-07-02 +1 copiesNovember 10 20112011-11-10Close view of a homa fire pit built from reddish-brown bricks, with a glowing ember fire at its centre and white and green petals scattered over the brick rim. A bare arm with a gold bangle reaches in from the right, holding a long-handled ladle over the fire. A tall flame rises from the central fire pit as a priest seated at right, in orange garments with bangles and beaded necklace, holds a ladle and offering over the fire. Behind the altar stands a gold-framed platform decorated with yellow and red floral garlands around two deity murtis, with brass kalashas, coconuts and green leaves arranged in front. Devotees watch from behind a railing at top left.2011-12-08Close-up photograph of a homa fire burning in a brick-lined fire pit, with tall orange flames rising from wood. A long-handled copper ladle rests on the right, and a copper or brass vessel sits beside the fire. Marigold and red flower garlands and scattered petals lie on the brick edges. Behind the fire, an ornate brass container and a blurred figure in grey clothing appear out of focus. No faces are clearly visible.2011-11-10
