In the foreground, a person with long dark hair and an orange-saffron wrap seen from behind looks toward the scene. A man in a dark shirt stands at the water's edge near a small wooden platform. Many devotees in saffron, white and pink head coverings and shawls fill the steps, some holding children. Across the river, a red and white temple with a tall spire and illuminated lamps overlooks the bathing area, with a large crowd at its edge. Warm lights glow as dusk settles over the water.2005-05-25October 04 20102010-10-04February 13 20132013-02-13A photograph taken at dusk on a river ghat with a crowd gathered on wide steps. In the left foreground a figure with long dark hair and an orange saffron garment is seen from behind and partially in profile. Behind them a dense crowd of men and women, many in white and pastel tones, some with head coverings, watch toward the water. Across the river, a red and white temple with a tall shikhara spire and lit lamps glows under a grey evening sky. Near the water a small figure stands in dark clothing, possibly leading the gathering. Overlapping figures fill the lower right.2005-05-25July 08 20082008-07-08April 29 20142014-04-29October 02 20152015-10-02February 13 20132013-02-13July 08 20082008-07-08March 20 20142014-03-20 +1 copies
