He wears a white and cream dhoti-style garment, a thick red rose garland with white jasmine strands, and heavy gold bead necklaces. Behind him are red and orange tassels, gold-embroidered red canopy fabric and green tassels, along with gold ornamental panels. He has long dark hair swept back and looks upward with an open smile. Whether this is a person cannot be confirmed from appearance alone, so the identity is unsure.2010-01-01Outdoor ritual scene with a man in a rust-red dhoti and shawl, wearing a long pink and white flower garland with red roses, a thick rudraksha mala and gold necklaces, and a gold arm band. He holds a brass handbell in his right hand while smoke from an incense or puja offering drifts around him. Behind him, a crowd of children and adults in orange and red clothes stands with hands folded, and ornate gold-and-blue parasols shade the area under hanging green leaves. A brass tray of flowers and offerings sits at the bottom edge, and a gold-covered object appears at the right. The setting suggests a puja or aarti with devotees gathered in an open courtyard.2016-10-08
