February 01 20152015-02-01February 01 20152015-02-01Devotees perform an aarti offering before a seated figure on an ornate gilded throne with a carved lion-head armrest, in a dark shrine room with hanging brass bells and lamps. The seated figure wears a red-orange garment, rudraksha mala beads and bangles, with a white forehead marking. Around a gold-covered table with silver plates of flowers and offerings, several people hold lit lamps and plates: a woman in a green sari with grey hair seen from behind, a woman in white, a man in a white kurta, and a young man in a green shirt. Another woman stands in the background near a wooden lattice door.2015-02-01a person seated on an ornate gold throne with carved lion-face arms and a tiger-skin cushion, wearing an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl, a rudraksha mala and a layered ceremonial gold necklace, with hair swept back. Seated before him on the floor are devotees in white and cream clothes with orange lanyards, and a woman in an orange sari and a man in green. Round brass and silver trays of offerings with flowers sit on a low gold table. Hanging brass bells and oil lamps frame the scene beside a large carved wooden door, with a pale wall air conditioner behind.2013-05-13November 27 20142014-11-27 +1 copiesFebruary 01 20152015-02-01February 01 20152015-02-01A seated figure in a golden ornate throne with a carved lion-head armrest sits on the left, wearing a red-orange garment with a matching shawl and a long rudraksha-style garland, with a white forehead mark and swept-back hair; the figure has distinctive ceremonial cues, so this is Swamiji (probable) receiving devotion. In front, a gold table holds steel thalis with flowers, yellow marigolds, kumkum and offering plates. Around it, a woman in a green sari with grey hair, a woman in white, a younger woman in red, and two men, one in a yellow-checked shirt and one in green, sit with palms pressed together in namaskar. Behind, a woman in white stands near a tray of fruit, and a brass hanging lamp and bells hang from the ceiling beside a pink-painted door.2015-02-01August 24 20142014-08-24A photograph inside a gilded temple-style hall. A man with long swept-back dark hair, wearing a saffron-orange robe and a dark rudraksha mala, sits on an ornate gold throne with a cobra-headed armrest and a cushion. A gold oil lamp and hanging brass bells stand nearby. Seated devotees on the right and lower centre, a woman in a green sari and a woman in white, offer silver thalis of flowers, fruit and lamps arranged on a gold stand. Background has a red curtain, a ceiling fan-style AC unit, a wooden-panelled door and a colourful deity murti on the right. Swamiji (probable): the seated figure on the throne matches visible cues of long swept-back hair, saffron robe and rudraksha mala.2015-02-01August 20 20142014-08-20August 17 20142014-08-17
