A figure in saffron-orange robes and an orange turban walks at the front on the right, smiling broadly, with long hair visible and a shawl over one shoulder. Behind him a man in a red ceremonial shawl and white dhoti walks beside a man in white dhoti and shirt who carries a tray of offerings draped in white cloth. Two men in white dhotis hold long staffs or poles, and a multicoloured umbrella with tassels is held above the group, with a second umbrella behind. A plain saffron-robed figure is at the front, with the procession moving through an unlit open area. Several men are visible in white clothing.2006-12-20Night procession on a dirt road lit by strings of red, green and white fairy lights. A figure in a red-brown dhoti and shawl with a red turban and gold necklace walks at the front carrying a long staff, shielded by a large multicoloured umbrella held by an attendant. Behind them a decorated green and gold float or vehicle carries figures. Along the sides, devotees in orange, maroon and white dhotis and shawls, some with rudraksha malas, walk and stand watching, and a figure in white with a mala is near the right edge.2015-11-19Night procession on a dirt path between red-orange brick walls under dark trees. A woman in a white and patterned top and grey trousers holds up a tall red pole topped by a pink umbrella with silver trim. Behind her, two men in orange robes with rudraksha malas walk beside each other, one barefoot. A crowd of devotees in white and orange follows, with lit lanterns and a drum visible further back, and a glowing ratha or chariot-like light ahead. Spot lighting and a lit lamp on the wall add contrast to the dark scene.2016-09-15February 13 20182018-02-13Night photo of a procession on a dirt path lined with grass and palm trees. A man in orange saffron robes and an orange turban walks in front, with a colourful striped parasol held over him by a man in white. Behind, a shirtless man in a red dhoti and rudraksha-style beads walks alongside men in white dhotis and orange shawls. Additional ceremonial parasols and poles are visible further back. The orange-robed figure is shown from behind; there is no clear appearance-based cue beyond the saffron clothing and turban, so the identity is not established.2006-12-20February 21 20162016-02-21December 20 20062006-12-20Night procession on a dirt path lit by warm light and a bright illuminated structure behind trees. At centre, a man in a dark red-maroon robe and a garland walks under an ornate dark umbrella with a silver-beaded fringe, with a small handheld light just behind him. Beside and behind him are robed devotees in orange, maroon and white, and children in saffron, white kurta and dhoti. At left, a line of women in orange and gold sarees holds hands and walks in step. At right, a woman in a maroon saree with a rudraksha mala looks toward the path, with blurred figures in the foreground. Several people in the scene, cut off at the edges.2016-02-17
