A few wear grey, green, plaid or lavender shawls. In the foreground a seated figure in an orange robe sits on a red office-style chair facing the group, with long dark hair, her back to the camera. In front of the chair are brass bowls with food, a small brass lamp and a patterned cloth.Photo 11705787Outdoor satsang under large banyan trees. A seated figure sits on a red and gold throne in front of a shrine with a red-clad deity murti garlanded with marigold and multicolour flower strings, backed by an orange curtain and an ornate white arch. The seated figure wears saffron-orange garments and a red-brown shawl, with one hand raised near the face. Around 14 devotees sit on mats on the ground facing the throne: men in white kurtas with orange shawls, women in white and in green and purple saris, and a man in a blue t-shirt in the foreground. A fan stands at the right edge and red cloths lie on the ground by the throne.2013-10-17July 21 20112011-07-21Outdoor session under a large banyan tree with many people seated on the ground in rows. At the left, a figure in red robes sits on a red velvet throne with gold trim on a red patterned rug, with long dark hair and a red shawl; this figure's appearance is uncertain for identity. Audience members wear white, orange, saffron and red clothing, several wear glasses or lanyards, and a bald man in a brown shirt sits in the foreground. A microphone stand and speaker are visible near the throne, and a stone basin sits beside the seated figure. Several figures in white and orange stand near the back. The crowd is large and fills most of the frame.2011-12-05December 05 20112011-12-05Photo 11711479Outdoor scene under a large banyan tree at an ashram-style grounds. Participants sit on woven mats in rows, many wearing white clothing with orange saffron shawls and white headbands, several with black blindfolds. In the background a shrine with a deity murti or portrait framed in blue and draped with orange garlands and flowers sits in a niche. A seated figure in red and maroon clothing sits near a red-cushioned chair on a raised platform, with a framed portrait of a robed figure on the chair beside him. A person in a red-and-white outfit stands near the shrine area. Foreground includes a person in a blue head covering and a bald man in a white shirt with an orange cloth. A sign on the left reads text partly obscured. The setting suggests a guided group practice under the tree.2012-10-25September 22 20162016-09-22February 05 20162016-02-05Outdoor gathering on a dirt-and-grass ground beneath leafy trees.
