A photograph of a homa fire ritual at night. A bare-chested priest with white sacred marks on his arms and chest, a rust-orange turban and a long rudraksha mala with gold ornaments sits on a silver chair. He holds a long ladle over a fire built on a stack of yellow bricks, decorated with grass and white grains. A brass bowl sits in front of the fire, with brass pots and a plate of flowers on a striped cloth. Behind him stand a stone pillar and a dark red mat. The priest appears to be a devotee-level performer; no identity is asserted from appearance.

A man in orange-red robes sits cross-legged on a striped rug before a yellow-brick fire pit, pouring an offering with a long ladle into bright flames at night. He wears a red and orange turban, a long rudraksha mala with multiple strands, a silver pendant, and wristbands; white horizontal markings are painted on his bare upper arm and chest. Brass bowls, a covered vessel, pink flowers, and a silver lamp sit on the rug. A silver-backed chair and a dark red cushioned mat sit behind him. The scene appears to be a homa or fire offering.

A photograph of a homa fire ritual. A man seated on a silver-ornamented wooden chair wears a rust-red turban and a rust-red cloth wrapped around his waist, with a long rudraksha mala and a silver necklace on his bare chest. White horizontal stripes are painted on his upper arm and shoulder. He stirs an oblation with a silver ladle into a silver bowl, beside a square brick fire pit where a flame rises. Silver vessels, a silver kalasha-like pot, lamps and fruit sit on a purple cloth in front, and a carved dark wooden doorway stands behind him against a stone wall. Because the page names a person and the visible cues are a red turban, rudraksha mala and ceremonial silver necklace, this may be a person, presiding over the homa with an ordinary ritual role.

A seated priest in a red-orange dhoti-style wrap and red-orange turban performs a homa at a brick fire pit with a large open flame at night. He wears layered gold beaded and bead-ornament necklaces, multiple bangles on his arms, and long reddish sacred cords or malas over his shoulders. He offers items into the fire with his hands. Brass vessels, a plate and small cups with offerings sit on the floor beside him, and a covered brass container is at the right edge. The setting is dark with warm firelight.

A photograph of a seated priest performing a fire ritual beside a yellow-painted brick fire pit with flames and a copper bowl set on top. He wears a rust-orange turban, rust-orange cloth, layered rudraksha malas, bangles and white tripundra marks on his forehead and arms, and holds a silver ladle lifting offerings toward the fire. Scattered orange and pink flowers lie at the base of the pit, with a blurred dark background.

A priest in saffron-orange robes and a rudraksha mala sits cross-legged before a square fire pit, pouring an offering with a long-handled ladle over a glowing flame. Behind him stand brass oil lamps, a kalasha-like vessel with a coconut and mango leaves, and a garlanded pink and yellow deity murti with a crown. Brass bowls and a tray of offerings are arranged nearby, and the scene is lit warmly with smoke rising through foliage. The priest's face is not clearly visible and no person is identified; the figure is described by role only.
