Several men wear white dhotis with red-striped borders, rudraksha malas, and white and red tilak marks on their foreheads. One man in front has a yellow shawl draped over his shoulder and wears glasses, another in the foreground wears an orange-and-brown mala. Brass puja vessels and small plastic containers sit on orange mats in front of them. Some attendees wear headphones and blue lanyards, and a plastic shopping bag rests beside a seated man. The setting appears to be an organised ashram-style gathering with devotees listening attentively.2010-10-12A photograph of a seated meditation or satsang gathering. In the foreground a young man in orange sannyasi-style clothing sits cross-legged with his eyes lowered, wearing a rudraksha mala and a wristwatch, on a striped multicoloured mat. Behind him another young man with white vibhuti-style forehead markings wears an orange wrap, and several others in white and yellow-bordered dhotis sit nearby. In the foreground a young man with short dark hair sits cross-legged, bare-chested, wearing a white dhoti with a gold border, a rudraksha mala around his neck, a gold bangle and white ash marks on his forehead and arms. He holds a small brass spoon or lamp-like object in his right hand, palm raised, in a devotional gesture. Beside him on the floor sits a small framed photograph of a woman in red and orange, next to plates of offerings and flowers. Other participants wear white dhotis and saffron-orange cloths and sit on the floor.2017-01-07May 13 20132013-05-13
