Many people wear white ritual clothing: men in white dhotis and shirts, some in light blue shirts, and women in white saris, plus a few in pink, blue, orange and green saris. Several women wear orange shawls. Most stand with hands folded or arms crossed, facing toward the left edge of the frame where a light glows. Floodlight poles stand in the background. The gathering is large and fills the width of the frame.2006-12-20March 02 20182018-03-02Night-time outdoor photo of a long line of women standing shoulder to shoulder on a bare dirt ground, hands folded in front of them as if in prayer or devotion. They wear white, cream, peach, teal, purple and red saris, shawls and salwar kameez, several with head coverings. Behind them a string of small red-orange pennants hangs between trees against the dark sky. Only a few people are visible at the far right edge, partly cut off. No clearly identifiable a person figure is visible; the line is composed of devotees.2007-01-01
