Night-time outdoor photo of a crowd moving along a dirt road lit by street lamps. In the centre, a person in an orange robe with a long rudraksha mala and a small orange cloth held in the hands walks barefoot. To the right, a bald priest in orange garments with a rudraksha mala and a gold bracelet gestures with raised arms, while men in white dhotis with gold borders and red sashes, some with rudraksha malas, walk alongside. A bare-chested sannyasi in orange cloth, with long tousled hair, leans forward to accept an object from a shaved-headed monk in orange robes who holds it with both hands. A seated man with long dark hair, a red garment and cream shawl, wearing a flower garland, smiles at the exchange and appears to be Swamiji (probable) on the basis of his long swept-back hair, red and gold ceremonial dress, garland and seated position of honour. Seated beside him are orange-robed monks and white-clad elders on red-cushioned chairs, with onlookers standing behind them.2007-08-09September 11 20172017-09-11A procession moves down a red-carpeted hall in a festive tent with red and gold drapes. Another long-haired man in saffron with rudraksha malas plays cymbals. Behind them, saffron-robed sadhus carry parasols, and a robed figure in orange walks near the front. Many devotees in white and cream dhotis and saris stand on both sides with palms pressed together. Screens behind show a portrait and video of the event, and a banner on the left shows a figure in a crown.2018-01-05November 09 20162016-11-09Photograph under a corrugated metal roof at a Kumbh camp, with a green tarpaulin floor.
