A row of shaved-headed monastics in saffron-orange dhotis and rudraksha malas sits cross-legged on the floor, bodies bare above the waist and marked with white horizontal sacred ash stripes. Several have palms joined in prayer, while others rest hands on their laps in front of long banana-leaf plates heaped with food and rows of small white cups. A woman in a red and orange saree stands at the upper left, and a decorated backdrop with hanging ornaments fills the background. No identifiable individual is singled out as a person in this image.

A row of shaved-headed men in saffron-orange robes sits cross-legged on a white floor during a ritual. Several hold small brass vessels and lamps, raising a lit flame toward a tray; one man at the left holds a lit wick. Many wear rudraksha malas and white tripundra markings on their foreheads and arms. Brass plates, small bowls, and orange cloth sit before them, with a plastic box and a red purse on the floor. Behind them, other devotees in red and white clothes are seated, and red curtains hang on the wall.

A photograph of a seated group of men in a hall during a ritual gathering, with many small oil lamps lit along the railing and in front of them. In the foreground a bald man in white dhoti and shawl with red-edged borders and a red forehead mark holds a small brass vessel in his right hand. To the left a man in orange saffron robes sits cross-legged with a rudraksha mala, and a man in orange on the far left wears a mala and a wristwatch. Behind them rows of men in white dhotis and shawls with red borders hold lamps or sit in meditative posture. The scene suggests satsang or puja with oil lamps.

A photograph of a group of young shaved-headed boys and older men in saffron-orange robes seated cross-legged on a white floor during a ritual. The boys wear orange cloths with magenta borders, rudraksha-style bead necklaces and white sacred ash stripes on their foreheads and arms. Several chant with mouths open and hands raised in gesture. In front of them lie brass plates, lamps, small bowls, flowers and garlands on a white cloth. Red curtains hang in the background. A figure on the upper left, in orange with beads and white markings, is partly visible.

A seated group of many men in plain white dhotis and shawls with thin red border stripes sit cross-legged on orange and purple cloths across a white marble floor, many with sandalwood or vibhuti marks on their foreheads and rudraksha malas around their necks. In the foreground a man in the centre and another at the lower right have their hands folded in meditation, with brass pooja vessels, small oil lamps and a laptop arranged on the mats in front of them. The hall is large and bright with a crowd filling the background, and a printed copyright line appears at the lower right.

A photograph of a seated group of devotees at a ritual meal offering. Front row, several women in rust-red and orange saris with gold borders sit cross-legged with palms pressed together in namaskar, eyes closed; some wear rudraksha malas and white tilak marks on their foreheads. Before them lie banana leaves holding bananas, fruits, rice and small cups, with water bottles nearby. Behind them, rows of people in white and orange clothing sit in a hall with gold-toned decor, some with hands folded. Visible ritual setting suggests an annadan or puja offering.

A photograph of a large seated ritual gathering in a hall with red curtains and stacked red chairs. Many young women and men wear orange robes, rudraksha malas and white forehead markings, sitting cross-legged on the floor in rows divided by stanchion ropes. Some hold small papers and brass dishes, and a brass plate with offerings, flowers and a small lamp sits in front. In the upper left, a figure in white sits on a raised seat behind the rows; the figure is too distant and unclear to be identified, so this is a priest or attendant. Several people in white clothing are seated near the back.
