Several men in saffron-orange robes stand along a long white-draped table lit by tiered brass oil lamps (aarti lamps) with burning flames. The foreground man on the right, wearing a saffron shawl, rudraksha mala and holding a small silver vessel, is a devotee-priest; others in orange robes tend the lamps. In the foreground, several men in saffron-orange robes sit on orange mats, holding small brass lamps and bells, with brass puja plates, a small brass kalasha and flower offerings arranged before them. Behind them, rows of men in white dhotis and white shawls with red borders hold brass lamps and sit on mats. A tripod-mounted camera and a television screen appear at the upper left. One saffron-clad man at center wears rudraksha malas and a distinctive ritual setting; the page does not establish his identity, so no candidate is confirmed from appearance. Several men have vibhuti or tilak marks on their foreheads. The scene suggests an aarti or lamp-offering ceremony during a satsang.2010-11-15A photograph of a seated ritual line of men in orange and saffron robes sitting on orange mats before brass puja plates, lamps, and small brass vessels on a white marble floor. Foreground figures include a bald priest with white and red tilaka marks and glasses, reading or handling an open book, and a man in orange with hands pressed together in prayer. Behind them, men in white dhotis and white shirts with yellow sacred threads sit in rows, and a few people in orange shawls are visible at the far left. Brass lamps and offering dishes line the floor, and a camera tripod stands in the background. The setting appears to be a large hall during an evening ritual.2010-10-24December 17 20112011-12-17
