September 05 20142014-09-05Three people walk away from the camera along a dirt path between a red-brick wall on the right and a low red earthen embankment on the left, lined with leafy green trees. Two figures wear black tops and black trousers; the figure on the right wears black with a red-and-maroon cloth draped over one arm. The person on the left carries a pink cloth or mat. A red-walled building with a flag on a pole stands in the background under a pale sky. No identifiable ceremony or visible face cues are present.2014-09-06August 18 20162016-08-18June 09 20092009-06-09September 05 20142014-09-05A man in a saffron-orange dhoti-style wrap with a gold-bordered edge stands against a rust-orange wall, looking down at a long rudraksha mala he holds in his right hand while the beads drape over his shoulder. He has swept-back dark hair, a white and red tilak on his forehead, and bare shoulders. Yellow-green foliage appears in the lower right corner. The setting is outdoors beside a plain wall.2011-08-27December 30 20092009-12-30July 30 20122012-07-30December 11 20092009-12-11A seated group of about eight women in saffron-orange robes sit with eyes closed in a dim hall, apparently in meditation or chanting. Several wear rudraksha-style dark beaded necklaces. The front row includes a woman with long dark hair and another with a red bindi, and behind them a fan and a patterned window are visible. A saffron cloth hangs on the left wall.2006-08-22A photograph of an open-sided construction area with a partly built structure of grey concrete blocks and bare red earth. On the right, a smiling man with long, swept-back dark hair wears an orange saffron wrap with red borders, a rudraksha mala around his neck, and holds a long wooden staff with a brass tip. He appears to be a probable Swamiji, given the long swept-back hair, saffron clothing and rudraksha mala. On the left, a barefoot woman with light hair wears a white sari with an orange shawl and carries a small brass vessel, walking along concrete blocks toward a water-filled pit. Behind her, a man in white kurta and dhoti also walks toward the pit, and further back other men in white shirts and orange-trimmed white garments are present.2006-10-21A photograph of a group of women walking single file along a dirt path through shaded trees on an ashram grounds. In the foreground a woman in an all-white outfit carries an orange cup, and beside her a woman in a white top and maroon trousers wears a beaded mala. Behind them, a woman carries a purple yoga mat rolled under her arm, and others in white and pink salwar clothing follow along the path between flat stone markers. Bright sunlight filters through leafy branches, with a red-orange building visible in the background.2011-12-05
