A hand holding a gold pot pours water over its head, and water streams down the golden body onto a stone base. The statue has a smooth face and raised right hand in a blessing gesture. Behind it, purple and white cloth and yellow and purple flower garlands form a backdrop. A gold bangle and rings are visible on the pouring hand.2010-12-19A photograph of an abhishekam ritual. A priest in orange robes on the left pours water from a green coconut over a gold-coloured statue of a standing sage with raised right hand in abhaya mudra and a golden dhoti. Behind them, a purple and white backdrop is decorated with yellow and purple marigold garlands, with brass vessels and a kalasha on a stone platform. The statue is a depiction, not a living person.2010-12-19December 19 20102010-12-19December 19 20102010-12-19 +1 copiesA devotee's hand, wearing silver bangles, pours a liquid from a white vessel over a gilded statue of a bare-chested male figure with swept-back hair and a raised right hand in blessing posture. The golden statue is shiny with dripping liquid, indicating abhishekam. Behind it sits a dark stone carving of a deity with multiple arms and yellow flower garlands, and a carved stone pillar with a lion motif stands in the background. A red wall and iron railings frame the outdoor temple setting. The statue is a depiction, not a physical person, so the scene contains one visible human hand only.2010-12-14January 07 20192019-01-07ADIKAILASA on 12/29/20212021-12-29
