A hand at the upper left pours from a silver vessel with an engraved pot-shaped spout, and oil-like liquid runs down the statue's face, torso and draped yellow dhoti. Clumps of white paste cling to the shoulders and waist. The raised right hand is in abhaya mudra. Behind, a blurred figure in orange robes and a saffron turban sits before garlands of yellow and purple flowers and a white cloth.2010-12-19 +1 copiesJanuary 05 20192019-01-05December 19 20102010-12-19 +1 copiesJanuary 05 20192019-01-05A golden standing murti of a robed sage figure, shown with raised right hand in abhaya mudra, is being anointed by a priest pouring liquid from a silver conch-shaped vessel onto its head. Viscous yellow-orange offerings drip down the statue's chest, shoulders and draped dhoti onto a golden base. Behind it, a backdrop of purple satin and yellow-and-purple marigold garlands frames a seated figure in orange robes and white attire. Brass vessels and small lamps sit on a stone ledge. The scene suggests abhishekam of a murti.2010-12-19 +1 copies
