Photo 11679982July 19 20112011-07-19Photo 11679988 +1 copiesA photograph of a man seated cross-legged on an orange cushion in a meditative posture, eyes closed, with a dark hair bun. He wears an orange saffron-coloured wrap with a darker orange border, and a thin dark cord around his neck. A small brass vessel sits on the ground beside him. Behind him are grey stone statues of deities arranged on a lawn, with a red-orange building and green shrubs with red flowers. The caption identifies the page as a photo album; the seated figure's appearance is not clearly distinctive enough to confirm identity.July 21 20112011-07-21 +1 copiesPhoto 11743963 +1 copiesJuly 20 20112011-07-20July 16 20112011-07-16 +1 copiesA man with long dark hair sits cross-legged in meditation on a low wooden seat placed over a circular stone-and-pebble bed decorated with pink flower petals. He wears a saffron-orange dhoti and matching upper wrap, with a long gold-toned mala necklace of beads and a flower garland around his neck, and his eyes are closed. A small brass vessel stands at the front edge of the circle. To the left, an orange-painted pillar or altar is hung with yellow and white flower garlands, and stone lamps or stupa-like forms stand in the background of a paved courtyard. The scene reads as a quiet meditation or puja setting. The sitter is shown in the photo with distinctive saffron clothing, long swept-back hair and ornate beads, consistent with the page's reference to Swamiji, and is identified by appearance only as a probable match.Outdoor ritual scene in a courtyard beside a red-painted pillar. A figure seated cross-legged on a low wooden platform over a mat, back to the camera, wears a saffron-orange shawl over the shoulders and a rudraksha mala with a dark-beaded necklace, with hair tied up. Hands rest near a brass kalasha-style pot with handles set on a bed of ash or grey stone at the foreground. Behind, a seated crowd of about twenty people in white and pastel shirts sits on the ground facing the ritual. The swami-like figure's appearance matches the page's claimed presence, with orange shawl and rudraksha cues, so this is a person identification. Stone sculptures appear in the background.June 05 20112011-06-05December 01 20112011-12-01
