The murti wears a silver crown, gold and silver necklaces, a pink and gold sari, and a long garland of red and white flowers, with two white elephants flanking it. In front, a small red murti sits on a lotus-shaped base surrounded by red petals. Brass plates hold rose petals, covered offerings, a silver bowl and a lamp on a blue cloth with gold trim, marking an evening puja to the goddess at a temple shrine.2020-11-14A young boy, bare-chested and wearing a white dhoti, sits cross-legged on a blue-grey floor facing two large black stone deity murtis in a temple room with red velvet curtains and a yellow wall. On the left, a seated goddess murti wears a pink and green silk sari, a garland of flowers and a pendant necklace. On the right, a standing Vishnu-form murti wears a tall gold crown, a red and gold shawl, a yellow dhoti and a heavy gold necklace. He wears a rudraksha mala and a metal bangle and holds a small object over a tray near a dark stone deity murti. The murti is decorated with a silver crown, layered gold and silver necklaces, and a blue and gold cloth, with red flower garlands at its base. Brass plates, bowls, a small brass lamp and a maroon altar cloth are set before it, while behind are a maroon-draped shrine and a deity figure in blue and gold. The scene suggests a puja being performed.2021-12-22Inside a temple shrine with a golden arch, a bare-chested priest in white dhoti with sandalwood markings sits on the floor with palms pressed together in prayer, facing a black stone deity murti of a goddess with a crown, garlands and jewelled ornaments, flanked by golden lamp stands. Before the deity is a golden seated figure in a red and gold sari, draped with garlands and flower-filled plates, with brass vessels, an oil lamp and an incense stick nearby. Two framed portraits hang on the right wall: one shows a bearded elder in saffron, the other a white-haired figure in orange robes holding a staff. Striped cloth covers the platform steps and floor, and a plate of yellow and pink flowers rests in front.2022-01-01Photo 99167952022-09-30 +3 copiesPhoto 82915952022-07-24 +1 copiesA shirtless priest kneels at the left of a gilded shrine, holding a lit oil lamp in a silver dish and an incense stick, while smoke rises from the lamp. He wears a white dhoti with a yellow border and a black rudraksha-style mala. In front of him are brass vessels, flower garlands, and offering plates. The central deity murti is dressed in red and white silk, draped with red and white flower garlands, a large bead necklace, and a crown-like headdress, with a trident-like emblem visible. Smaller pink-and-red clad murtis stand on gold pedestals beside it, decorated with garlands and jewelry. Marigolds and yellow flowers adorn the shrine, and a gold-framed background of golden decorative panels completes the scene. This appears to be a puja or aarti in progress at a temple shrine.2024-09-29KAILASA SAN JOSE, USA on 11/14/20202020-11-14KAILASA SINGAPORE on 7/27/20212021-07-27October 23 20082008-10-23
