The figure wears a rust-red turban decorated with white shell-like trim and a jewelled brooch, a red-brown robe, a thick layered necklace of rudraksha beads, a gold-and-diamond necklace, a jewelled waist belt and a gold-bordered sash. Large garlands of marigolds, roses and white jasmine frame the statue on both sides against a green draped backdrop, with a green brocade cushion beneath. This is a statue depiction, not a living person.2015-04-25 +1 copiesNovember 20 20182018-11-20 +1 copiesDecember 28 20182018-12-28November 19 20182018-11-19A golden-faced utsava murti, a processional metal-style image, is framed by a dense arc of flowers in red, yellow, purple and white. The figure wears a brown and gold turban with a jewelled crown ornament and a bejewelled pendant. Its bare chest is covered in ornate gold and jewelled adornments, with a red bindi on the forehead and long dark hair. The image is a deity-style murti rather than a living person, so no physical people are shown.2013-12-18
