February 15 20122012-02-15April 20 20122012-04-20A man in a flowing turquoise-blue dhoti and wrap walks barefoot along a patterned runner laid over sand between white stone platforms, beneath large twisting banyan tree roots. He wears a rudraksha mala necklace, red and white beaded bracelets, and a vertical red mark on his forehead. Behind him at left, a figure in orange robes stands with palms pressed together. Small red mats, a turquoise basin and brass vessels rest on the platforms, and a small sign reads DO NOT DISTURB THE CANOPY at the right. The scene suggests an outdoor ritual or ashram setting with a sacred tree.2012-04-20April 21 20122012-04-21A woman in a pale yellow-green sari with a dark rudraksha-style mala around her neck stands barefoot on a dark polished stone platform, facing a large old banyan tree with thick aerial roots and spreading branches. Circular stone platforms encircle the tree trunks on a red earthen ground. Her hands are held together in front of her in a devotional gesture.2011-07-05July 11 20132013-07-11November 24 20112011-11-24 +3 copiesMarch 22 20132013-03-22March 20 20122012-03-20A photograph of an outdoor ashram grove beneath a large banyan tree with many aerial roots and trunks. In the centre, a person in an orange robe and a leopard-print shawl stands barefoot on a raised stone platform, wearing a white and red flower garland and holding a small bundle of offerings, with head bowed close to the trunk. Stone-edged square pits and flat stone slabs surround the tree. At the right edge, two people in white dhotis and orange cloth stand farther back among white pillars.2010-10-05A barefoot man in a saffron-orange dhoti and shawl, with a long rudraksha mala around his neck, stands on a dark polished stone platform beside a huge old banyan tree with thick aerial roots and spreading branches. Sandy ground and a low stone plinth surround the tree, and a small shrine opening is visible at its base. The man's hair is long and dark, and he gestures with one hand as if speaking.2011-09-02July 20 20112011-07-20
