August 23 20132013-08-23A photograph of a shrine niche with a large framed portrait on a gilded throne draped with a tiger-skin cushion. The framed painted portrait shows a smiling man in an orange turban and saffron robe; it is a depiction, not a physical person. Gold ornate frame and string lights surround it. In front, three priests in orange and white ritual clothing hold lit torches or lamps toward the shrine. A large painted deity statue with four arms and gold crown and jewelry stands at left, holding a lamp and conch-like objects, with flames blurred in motion in the foreground.2013-12-02December 15 20132013-12-15December 15 20132013-12-15A photograph inside a temple-style hall with a red carpet. Centre is a gold-framed portrait of a smiling man in an orange turban and orange clothing, set on a golden throne with a tiger-motif base, lit by oil lamps and hung bells. Two tall painted guardian statues flank the shrine, each with four arms, a crown, gold necklaces and orange and green dhoti. Several monks in maroon robes kneel at the throne, one raising a lamp, and a flame burns to the left. In the foreground a shaved-headed man in orange wears a rudraksha mala and sits before a microphone, and a white-clad priest sits to the left with a ritual tray, possibly for a puja or aarti.2013-11-29 +3 copiesA temple shrine with a golden throne (peetha) backed by a framed portrait of a smiling man in an orange-saffron head covering and orange-saffron clothing, set between two tall painted deity murti figures with four arms, orange dhotis and green sashes. A tiger-skin cloth lies on the throne seat, with a golden lamp arrangement above. Several people in maroon-brown robes perform puja at the base of the throne, one lighting or offering with a lamp. In the foreground at left, a man in white dhoti with a rudraksha mala holds a bell or small vessel, while a shaved-headed priest at lower centre holds up a bright flame in an aarti lamp. Brass oil lamps (kuthu vilakku) stand on both sides, and a red carpet covers the floor.2013-11-28 +3 copiesJanuary 16 20122012-01-16December 28 20112011-12-28September 21 20132013-09-21February 18 20142014-02-18May 28 20142014-05-28 +1 copiesMarch 01 20142014-03-01
