Around him, saffron-robed sannyasis, men in white dhotis with gold-bordered shawls, and women in red saris stand with silver ceremonial staffs topped with trident and crescent finials. Before him a bare-shouldered man in a white cloth kneels, having his head touched in blessing. A saffron flag with a black emblem flies in the background. Probable Swamiji cues: long swept-back hair, saffron robe, ornate beaded necklace and seated on a throne, serving as the central figure.2013-02-13Outdoor ceremony on a riverside platform with orange marigold petals scattered on a teal patterned mat. A man with long dark swept-back hair, a red bindi and white ash markings, wearing a saffron-orange dhoti and shawl, rudraksha-style beaded and silver bead necklaces, and a gold armlet, raises one hand in greeting while holding a silver trident. He stands before a silver-trimmed seat draped with a leopard-print cloth. In the foreground a bald man in orange robes faces him holding a flame lamp. Around them devotees in white and orange kneel and stand with palms pressed together, including a boy in white with a red bead mala, a few women in white and red-bordered saris, and a standing man in a white shirt. A gold ceremonial staff with a sun-disc finial and a red-and-orange flag appear at the edges. The man in the centre matches the a person cues of swept-back hair, a trident-bearing role, saffron and ornate beaded dress, so the visible presence is an appearance-based candidate.2013-02-13Photo 11727263May 19 20152015-05-19February 13 20132013-02-13A long-haired man stands on a boat deck holding a silver trident in his left hand and a tall wooden staff in his right. He wears an orange-brown wrap over one shoulder, a wide rudraksha belt, a long necklace of white beads with rudraksha, layered beaded waist strands, and gold armlets. He has white and red vibhuti and a red bindi on his forehead. Behind him, seated figures in orange and white clothes, including a bald man in orange with glasses and a man in orange with a mala, sit on a tiger-striped mat. Swamiji (probable) is the central figure, identified by the trident, long hair, saffron clothing and ornate beadwork; he is presented as the guest of honour on the Varanasi boat tour during the Kumbh Mela period.2013-02-13May 22 20062006-05-22February 13 20132013-02-13March 10 20132013-03-10
