Two garlanded deity murtis, one in red and one in orange-clothed form, stand on a green-draped platform. A shaven-headed priest in saffron robes and a gold necklace sits on the right, ringing a bell and holding a silver vessel beside a lamp, with fruit offerings (bananas, apples, grapes) arranged on brass plates in front. Brass oil lamps flank the altar. Around twenty seated devotees in orange and saffron clothing, many women, sit on the terrace listening, along with a few standing figures on the left.2012-07-11Outdoor ritual on a terrace with a hillside of terraced fields and eucalyptus trees behind. A seated priest in saffron robes, bald-headed and wearing a beaded necklace, faces a small altar with two deity murtis draped in white and jasmine garlands, one with a crown. Before him are plates of sliced fruit, a brass kalasha, oil lamps, bowls of offerings and dried twigs in a basket, consistent with a homa/puja setting. Around him sit devotees in saffron and white clothes with hands folded in prayer, some seated on mats and rugs, with clay pots stacked at the right edge. The priest's identity is not established from appearance.2012-07-12Photo 11730857 +1 copiesPhoto 11730882 +1 copiesJuly 12 20122012-07-12Night homa at an indoor hall.
