The pole has ringed bands along its length and a crowning wooden framework with tiered cross-pieces, decorated with a strand of orange and yellow marigold garlands and small finials. Palm fronds are visible at its base and in the lower right corner. No people are shown.2011-09-09March 10 20132013-03-10September 10 20122012-09-10June 26 20142014-06-26Photo 11682556September 10 20122012-09-10June 18 20142014-06-18July 13 20142014-07-13June 08 20142014-06-08A tall copper dhwajasthambha, a ceremonial flagstaff, rises steeply from a bundle of green straw at its base, with banded copper rings along its length and an ornate capital at the top. A saffron-orange cloth flag streams from a rope on its side, and a garland of yellow and orange flowers hangs from the left under a metal roof edge. A palm frond appears at the right against a bright sky. No people are visible. This matches the dwajarohana flag-raising ritual noted on the page, though that is not visible in the photo itself.2011-09-09
