Near the top is a copper or brass ornamental finial with scalloped, scrolled edges and stylized eye-like motifs. Below it, a square mounting plate holds a round ornate knob carved with floral patterns, and the pole beneath has repeated rope-twist bands. Yellow ropes run along the pole, and a dark garland or cord hangs from the mounting plate. No people are visible.2014-10-05A tall copper flagstaff or dhvaja stambha rises against a pale blue sky, its shaft wrapped in decorative copper bands and cords. At the top sits a tiered carved wooden or copper crown-like finial with bell-like pendants, a small red cloth hanging from it, and a pointed copper finial on the right side. A thin orange rope runs down the pole, and a partial view of another copper finial and a dark metal structure appears at the right edge. No people are visible.2013-01-12Photograph looking up at a tall polished copper dwajastambha (flagpole) with rope-like bands wound around its shaft, topped by a copper capital and a carved wooden-and-metal finial with orange cloth tied to it and dark plumes at the crown. Taut guy wires run up to the top against a pale overcast sky. No people are visible in the frame. The flagpole is the main subject of this temple flag-hoisting setting.2009-07-08
