He wears a bare upper torso with orange-red drapery over one shoulder, a leopard-print patterned wrap, and a long strand of beaded necklaces and rudraksha-style malas across his chest. He wears bangles on his wrists and armbands, holds a trident-like staff in one hand, and rests his other hand on his hip. Two tall brass oil lamps stand on either side of the ring. The costume and staging suggest a theatrical or devotional performance tableau rather than a ritual setting.2012-09-24KAILASA LATIN AMERICA on 4/1/20212021-04-01October 14 20122012-10-14September 26 20122012-09-26A performer stands on a stage under red and blue lighting, holding a silver trident in his right hand and resting his left hand on his hip. He has long dark swept-back hair and wears an orange draped garment with a leopard-print wrap at the waist, along with a black and white beaded mala draped across his chest and bangles on his arms. Behind him is a large ornate golden arch with embossed floral and geometric carving, and a sunset backdrop glows on the right. A smaller silver staff with bells stands at the left edge. The scene resembles a stage portrayal of Shiva with his trident and rudraksha-style beads. The figure is a single person, and the photo is taken at a theatrical or ceremonial stage performance.2012-04-28A man stands on a stage inside a large ornate golden circular frame, holding a trident in his right hand. He wears a bare-chested costume with a leopard-print wrap, layered beaded and rudraksha-style necklaces and bands, a brown dhoti, and ankle-length ritual wrap. Bare-shouldered and bare-armed, he has long dark hair and a tilak on his forehead. Beside him stand a second trident, a peacock-feather fan on a staff, a curved ceremonial blade, and a bell-like staff. Red and orange flame imagery and green lighting fill the background, and a stage spotlight sits at the base.2017-12-22
