Several have shaved heads, and some wear rudraksha malas. Banana leaves holding food and small paper cups sit in front of them. Two figures at front right have pressed palms and beaded necklaces, and one wears a white-clad person standing at the far back among the rows.2013-11-14A long row of seated men in saffron-orange robes and orange turbans sits cross-legged on white cloth in a hall, facing a central aisle. Many wear rudraksha malas and some have white body markings. Each has a banana leaf plate in front of them with food and small steel cups of drink, forming a feast line. Background shows a steel serving counter at left and a stage with red drapes and a large screen at top. Appears to be a communal meal served during a festival celebration.2017-08-14Photo 11712330Annadhan during Allahabad Kumbhamela 20132013-01-01 +1 copiesNovember 19 20182018-11-19August 14 20172017-08-14August 14 20172017-08-14Annadhan in 20142014-01-01 +1 copiesA long indoor hall where rows of young men in saffron-orange dhotis and matching orange head turbans sit cross-legged on the floor, bare-chested with white tilak marks, eating from green banana-leaf plates set in long lines. Steel tumblers stand between the plates. Several in the foreground wear rudraksha malas and some have white forehead paste. Behind them, other seated and standing people in white and pastel clothing watch, and at the right edge a figure in white draped clothing stands near ornate colourful decorations and a gold statue on a stand at the back left. The setting is a temple-style dining hall, consistent with a communal meal.2017-09-11 +1 copies
