On the left, a row of disciples in orange-red robes sit with palms joined before leaf plates of food. On the right, a long line of orange-clad monastics sits before food plates and water bottles, several in white-and-orange garments. A striped mat with 'a person SANGHA' printed on it runs down the centre, with a central figure in white seated in meditation near the front, an oil lamp on a small stand before them. Rows of banana-leaf plates with food and small lamps line the floor in the foreground, and several devotees hold their hands in anjali. Two large screens show a deity image, and a golden throne-like seat sits in front of the stage. A panel of framed event photographs hangs on the right wall. Several people in white kurtas and orange shawls sit near the front. A figure in the centre of the stage area in white and orange appears to be a priest. The scene resembles a satsang or puja gathering with prasadam served.2017-03-14August 14 20172017-08-14A photograph of a formal annadhan meal ceremony in a bright, tiled hall. In the foreground on the left, a shaved-headed monk in saffron and red robes sits with palms pressed together in prayer, while rows of saffron-robed monks sit cross-legged on mats in front of banana-leaf plates, each with small lit oil lamps and food offerings. On the right, younger monks in orange robes with white forehead marks and rudraksha malas sit with hands folded over leaf plates. Behind them, a larger seated assembly of devotees in white and red clothing sits quietly, and a camera on a tripod is set up at the centre. The scene conveys a blessing of food before distribution at the a person Annalaya mission.2014-01-01 +1 copies
