A woman in a pink sari with a gold necklace and a white-haired older man in a light shirt stand beside him with palms pressed together, receiving the flame. Behind them is a stone wall with red-and-white lettering partly visible and a garland of marigolds draped near a deity murti. The scene reads as an aarti ritual.2007-09-17Outdoor bhoomi puja on bare reddish earth beside a fenced field and trees. In the centre, a person in an orange saffron robe stands with palms pressed together in prayer. To the right, a shaven-headed priest in white dhoti and an orange shawl rings a handbell over the offerings. Left of centre, a woman in a yellow and cream sari and a man in a white shirt and brown trousers stand with folded hands, and two boys watch nearby. Before them are four grey stone blocks, red and orange flower garlands, a framed photograph garlanded in red, a brass fruit tray with apples and bananas, and a plate of red flowers on a white cloth.2008-04-04
