In the foreground a young man in a white dhoti with gold borders and a white shawl with gold edges sits with eyes closed, wearing a long rudraksha mala, a red bindi and a gold pendant, hands resting in his lap. Beside him men in white shirts and dark trousers sit in meditation, some wearing glasses, while others sit further back. The lighting is warm and the setting is a plain ritual or meditation hall.

A shaved-headed man sits cross-legged with eyes closed and palms pressed together in anjali at his chest, wearing a white sacred thread and white dhoti. He is bare-chested with white ash stripes on his arms and shoulders and a red tilak on his forehead, with a gold pendant on a chain. Behind and beside him, several other bare-chested men in white dhotis and white threads sit in meditation or prayer on an orange mat in a hall.
