A large group of children and teenagers in costume poses on the steps before the entrance of Sri Anandeshwara Temple, with the name printed on a brown sign above the doorway. Several boys in front wear gold crowns, gold necklaces and dhoti-style garments in red, yellow and orange, some holding staffs or a bow. A standing boy in the centre wears an orange robe and a long rudraksha-style mala. Girls in saris in teal, red, magenta and green sit and stand around them, several wearing gold jewellery. Seated children in the front row include a girl in a teal sari and a boy in a green costume with a gold crown, while a small child holds a green fan. The orange-painted building wall frames the scene.2012-04-01Photo 11689578A group of young performers in costume posing for a photograph under a corrugated roof with a light wall behind them. They wear elaborate gold crowns and jewellery, and many wave with open palms. On the left a young boy in a gold crown and orange-yellow dhoti kneels with palms joined; the standing girls wear red, purple, blue and orange saris and layered garlands. Two boys seated in front wear saffron-orange dhotis, rudraksha-style beaded necklaces and hold thin wooden staffs. Their costumes suggest a mythological dance or drama presentation. Red and white striped steps lead up to the sanctum. On the steps a young attendant in a purple dhoti and a monk in saffron robes stand near a floor rangoli showing a colourful map-like design with mountains and a marigold garland. Several people in white and saffron clothes stand on the steps and at the doorway, some with hands folded in namaskar; a woman in an orange sari stands at the top. Two dark deity murtis garlanded in orange and yellow flank the entrance, and a red cloth hangs beside the door. A banner on the right shows a portrait of a saint in a red headdress with a caption about the temple's founder.2010-12-28Photograph of devotees in orange and saffron clothing gathered on the steps of the Sri Anandeshwara Temple, a white building with a dark brown signboard reading SRI ANANDESHWARA TEMPLE. Above the doorway hangs a garland-decorated banner and a red-and-gold canopy. A central figure in orange robes with a white flower garland stands bareheaded with head bowed as a man in white dhoti and shawl pours or places an offering over him. Other orange-clad attendants stand nearby, one holding a golden staff and another carrying a brass tray.
