Around twenty young performers stand and sit in a group: several boys bare-chested with pale rudraksha-style beaded necklaces and tall crowns, girls in green, purple, red, yellow and blue saris with pearl garlands, one child in a bright lion-faced mask with a fierce orange mane and crown, another holding a round silver shield, and some holding bows or staffs. Two adults in white and orange sit at the lower left edge in the foreground, partly cropped. Framed photographs hang on the pink walls at the right and left, and an oil lamp sits near the front. The scene is a pageant-style dramatization in an ashram hall.2014-10-02Photo 11684311October 02 20142014-10-02Photo 11709880 +1 copiesPhoto 11689579Photo 11742424 +1 copiesA cultural performance on a raised red-draped stage in a hall, with a yellow and orange valance and blue backdrop. Performers in traditional costume stand in a line: women in orange, green, blue and pink saris, men in white dhoti-style garments, and a child in a gold crown and blue-and-gold outfit at centre. A tall striped decorative pillar rises at the top right of the stage. Audience members, mostly children and women in saris and salwar, sit on mats on the floor in the foreground. A framed portrait hangs on the left wall. A sound mixer and speakers are visible at the stage edge.2012-10-24April 29 20172017-04-29Photo 11689576
