A bare-chested priest with long dreadlocks, orange cloth wrapped at the waist, rudraksha beads, and white sacred ash markings on his arms and chest holds a lit oil lamp toward an ornate deity murti. The murti sits on a throne with a large arched backdrop densely decorated with white, pink, blue and green jewel-like studs and gold trim, wearing a crown, gold necklaces, bangles and a red garment, and holding a golden staff. A golden lion-shaped finial rises above, with pink and green decorative ornaments at the top corners. The setting is a temple interior with carved golden latticework behind.2019-12-27December 31 20192019-12-31A photograph inside a temple shrine showing a standing man in orange saffron robes, bare-chested with a draped orange shawl, rudraksha beads and sacred ash marks on his arms, performing aarti with his palms extended toward a lit oil lamp. Before him sits a deity murti dressed in a red and gold necklace, red and pink flower garlands, a green and gold cloth and a green leaf crown, seated on a gold throne flanked by golden lions. Brass puja vessels, a kalasha and flowers sit on a yellow cloth at the front, with a dark deity image and gold-framed panels behind. The man has long hair tied up and a beard, and his face is not visible enough to confirm identity; the appearance cues are only partially distinctive, so no firm identification is made.2020-06-06January 01 20192019-01-01MAy 27 20212021-05-27May 07 20172017-05-07
