Two men in white dhotis and shawls with gold borders, wearing rudraksha malas, stand at a dark black stone lingam and pour water from a silver vessel into a silver plate, which splashes down over the stone. A third man in an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl, with a gold bangle, stands beside them, holding a bowl. Behind them sits a golden deity murti draped in orange cloth. In the foreground is a small white marble seated figure in meditation, and at right stands a gold statue of a figure with palms joined in anjali. Ornate gold arches and carved gold pillars frame the scene.2011-12-28December 23 20182018-12-23 +1 copiesDecember 03 20162016-12-03A photograph of a water-pouring ritual at a temple well or tank. A man in a white dhoti and shirt, wearing a blue cord around his neck, pours water from a metal bucket on a yellow rope into a basin. Beneath the pouring, a long-haired man with dark rudraksha malas stands with clasped hands as water runs over his head. Beside him, another man in orange-red cloth and rudraksha beads stands with hands raised. A crowd of around fifteen devotees, many bare-chested with orange cloths and malas, and some women in saris and white clothing, surrounds the scene beside a white carved temple wall with green foliage.2018-04-29December 03 20162016-12-03 +1 copiesDecember 14 20162016-12-14
