Beneath it, a large printed portrait of a bearded man in an orange turban with rudraksha necklaces and ornate gold-toned garlands walks at the centre, flanked by red and yellow flower garlands. Around him, young men in saffron-orange dhotis and shawls, some bare-chested, wear rudraksha malas and carry trays of flowers and offerings. Golden temple structures and colourful banners appear in the background. The figure in the portrait is a printed image, not a physical person.2018-12-22Photo 11701690 +1 copiesJune 07 20162016-06-07 +1 copiesA photograph of a procession walking along a palm-lined path with tall trees on both sides. At the centre, a man in an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl wears an orange turban and a garland of white and red flowers, with a rudraksha mala around his neck; he is smiling and walking barefoot. Beside him to the left, a bearded man in orange robes wears a yellow-and-white marigold garland and a beaded necklace. Behind them, several monks in orange robes walk alongside a crowd of men in white shirts and dhotis, one in a red kurta, and a young boy in a checked shirt at the left edge. The scene looks like a ceremonial walk through a village or ashram grounds.2011-05-24June 07 20162016-06-07 +1 copiesJanuary 02 20092009-01-02Photo 11743178 +1 copiesOutdoor procession on stone steps before a red multi-storey building, with a chain-link railing and rows of black shivalingam-style stone bases behind. A man in the centre wears a deep rust-red sleeveless garment with a long rudraksha mala, a white forehead mark, and long dark hair swept back, walking with a calm expression. Around him, several men and women in saffron-orange robes carry a tall golden-yellow staff with a fringed canopy at the top; one attendant wears a white-and-gold silk shawl, and another in white dhoti with a rudraksha mala and sandal-coloured body marks walks beside them. Drummers in saffron stand at the left edge. Several people wear white forehead tripundras. The mood is ceremonial.2018-01-01December 22 20182018-12-22 +1 copiesMay 08 20122012-05-08 +1 copies
