December 22 20182018-12-22Outdoors beneath a large banyan tree with many aerial roots, three men in saffron-orange dhotis stand on a paved stone path. The men have shaved or cropped heads with topknots and bare upper bodies, with rudraksha-style beaded necklaces and orange shawls. The nearest man holds a small oil lamp with a flame, the man beside him holds a brass plate of offerings, and a garland of marigold and red-white flowers hangs around the tree trunk. A blue sign reads 'Sit Under the Tree' near the base of the banyan, and a shallow stone platform with a white painted lotus design lies on the ground.2018-12-22March 14 20122012-03-14Photo 117264002012-04-27 +1 copiesOutdoor photo at a large banyan tree with thick aerial roots and a garland of green leaves, white and red flowers draped along a trunk.
