Outdoors beneath a large banyan tree with many aerial roots, three men in saffron-orange dhotis stand on a paved stone path. The men have shaved or cropped heads with topknots and bare upper bodies, with rudraksha-style beaded necklaces and orange shawls. The nearest man holds a small oil lamp with a flame, the man beside him holds a brass plate of offerings, and a garland of marigold and red-white flowers hangs around the tree trunk. A blue sign reads 'Sit Under the Tree' near the base of the banyan, and a shallow stone platform with a white painted lotus design lies on the ground.2018-12-22Photo 11724099 +1 copiesA photograph of a large banyan tree with dense aerial roots and hanging vines forming a cave-like hollow at its base.
