Dozens of people in orange and saffron robes stand and move along stone steps and the water edge at right, many bare-chested with cloths tied at the waist, consistent with a ritual bathing or abhishekam at the sacred pool. Tiered stone steps fill the left side. Behind, a red multi-storey building with a golden domed roof and a white tent structure stand against a pale evening sky.2019-01-04Photograph of a large stepped stone tank with still water reflecting a black stone Shivalinga on a raised circular base at centre. Many saffron-robed monks, some bare-headed, descend and ascend the tiered steps on both sides of the tank, some carrying vessels. A red multi-storey building with a golden domed top stands behind the tank, with a small white structure and green trees beyond. Blue sky and a dim sign-like lettering on the linga. Several people are visible on the steps in orange robes.2018-12-22November 11 20172017-11-11A large black stone Shivling stands on a square platform in a water-filled sunken court, its reflection doubled in the still pool. A garland of multicoloured flowers is draped around its base. Behind it, tiered red-orange stone steps hold rows of people in saffron-orange robes seated in ranks, with more saffron-robed figures standing along the white railings and stairways at the left. The setting is an open-air outdoor ritual venue with a building and construction equipment in the background.2013-06-04June 07 20132013-06-07 +1 copiesA large black Shiva lingam stands on a flooded square-shaped yoni pedestal in shallow water, with a red-and-white garland draped over it. Red stepped terraces on the left and rear hold a crowd of people in orange and white robes, some standing and some seated. Several figures in orange robes stand on a metal staircase beside the lingam. A red multi-storey building and a metal railing frame the scene under an overcast sky.2013-06-03Outdoor photo of a large black Shivalinga standing in a shallow pool with red-brick steps on the left and a red-brick building behind. Several people in orange and saffron clothing gather on the red steps and along the railing, some in white. In the water near the base of the linga, a group of men in orange garments and dhotis are wading, holding a decorated palanquin or ratha carrying a deity murti draped in colourful fabric, and an orange umbrella stands among the crowd. Fountain water spurts from the stone edge of the platform. Clear blue sky with clouds overhead.2013-04-25Photo 11724075November 11 20172017-11-11
