He wears a long rudraksha mala with brass bead ornaments and a pendant, and holds a metal ladle over a bowl as flames rise from the bricks. Silver ritual vessels and a small brass lamp sit on a tray in front of him. A second person in orange is partly visible at the right edge. Trees and a garden path appear in the background.2014-01-11Photo 11722953March 17 20192019-03-17A photo of a homa fire ritual outdoors beneath a large banyan tree with aerial roots. A bare-chested man in an orange dhoti-style wrap sits cross-legged on a woven mat, pouring an offering from a white-tipped ladle into a square fire pit built of white-washed bricks. Bright orange flames rise from the pit on the right. Around him are brass bowls, a brass pot, a small brass vessel, and scattered marigold petals and flowers on the bricks. A rudraksha mala hangs from his hand and a carved wooden seat with a round carved backrest is behind him. The man has long, dark, swept-back hair and appears to be Swamiji (probable), identified by long swept-back hair and the bare-chested orange ritual wrap, seated for the fire offering.2006-09-21A photograph of an outdoor homa at a shrine. A young man in an orange turban, orange dhoti and orange shawl, with rudraksha malas on his neck and arms, stands at right pouring from a metal vessel into a fire burning inside a brick fire pit. Beside him, a second shirtless young man in orange cloth with rudraksha mala sits cross-legged on a striped mat holding a ladle. Behind them a seated figure in a golden throne wears a crown, orange-red cloth and a garland. In front, yellow and white flower garlands, fruits, bowls and brass vessels lie on striped mats. Brick walls and a wooden door frame the scene.2019-01-05
