November 22 20182018-11-22A photograph of a silver ceremonial umbrella (chhatra) held aloft by a raised arm of a person whose wrist wears several strands of rudraksha beads and a thin bangle. The umbrella has a finely embossed dome edged with a fringe of small silver bells and a pointed finial on top. Behind it, a sparkling sequined and embroidered textile with a blue border and a richly decorated deity murti adorned with silver ornaments and flower garlands fill the frame, with green banana leaves in the background. Only the raised arm is visible, so the person holding the umbrella is not shown.2016-12-19Close photograph of a ritual scene with a warm golden background and a bright fire blazing at left. A figure in the centre-left with long dark hair and bare upper body wears strands of rudraksha beads, and a second figure at right, shown in profile with a shaved head and bare shoulders, wears rudraksha malas and holds up a polished metal umbrella-like canopy with a beaded fringe and engraved decoration over the first person's head. The setting suggests a fire ritual with an ornate golden shrine behind. a person cues are not sufficiently distinctive here, so identity is unsure.2016-12-23November 21 20182018-11-21November 11 20182018-11-11August 28 20182018-08-28November 02 20182018-11-02December 23 20162016-12-23February 01 20172017-02-01November 19 20182018-11-19November 08 20182018-11-08October 17 20182018-10-17
