October 18 20182018-10-18Indoor temple scene with a gold ornate backdrop draped with white and yellow flower garlands. Three seated deity murti stand in a row, dressed in colourful silk garments with gold necklaces and crowns. A bare-chested priest in orange dhoti and shawl, wearing a rudraksha mala and a face covering, stands at right holding a small brass vessel during puja beside a side altar with a kalasha-like offering. The setting suggests a ritual worship, possibly abhishekam or puja, with petals scattered on the table. No clearly identifiable living a person is visible, and the priest's appearance is too uncertain to attribute to him.2021-11-17April 27 20122012-04-27October 21 20152015-10-21 +1 copiesPhoto 11736092A seated man in an orange robe with gold border sits on an ornate gold throne with a golden crown and a peacock-feather ornament, eyes closed, hands folded in his lap. He wears a long gold-and-white garland and a gold pendant necklace, with a bindi on his forehead. Below the throne, a young man in white clothes with an orange shawl and a second person in white bend forward at a low table, handling a flower-decorated plate. A woman in an orange shawl and teal sari sits to the right beside silver bowls, a silver jar, and a bowl of fruit with apples and oranges. A red and gold draped backdrop and white-and-coloured floral arch frame the scene. This is a ceremonial photograph of a seated sannyasi being honoured with puja offerings.2007-01-01September 02 20132013-09-02 +1 copiesA seated figure on an ornate gold throne wears a gold crown, a red robe, a heavy gold necklace and a long white and pink garland, with a red bindi on the forehead. Before him, several men in white dhotis with rudraksha malas kneel and bend over a large brass vessel draped in orange cloth, handling small packets and red trays, while a woman in a white sari assists nearby. Gold trident and ritual vessels stand to the left. This appears to be a pada puja or pushpabhishekam-style ritual in a temple-like hall.2016-05-24December 01 20162016-12-01 +1 copiesA photograph inside a temple sanctum of an ornate shrine decorated with multicoloured flower garlands in red, yellow, white and purple. Two large metal deity murtis stand at the centre, one with a tall orange crown and the other with a decorated headdress and jewelled necklaces. A man in an orange dhoti and orange shawl with a beaded necklace stands before them, holding a silver vessel. A shaved-headed man in orange robes kneels at the lower left, holding a bowl up toward him, possibly for abhishekam. Gold brass lamps and a large gilded figure appear on the right and a carved stone pillar on the left.2012-04-30September 02 20132013-09-02 +1 copiesOctober 29 20182018-10-29
