Night ritual photograph of a homa at an open-air ashram space. A bare-chested man with a saffron-orange cloth draped over his shoulder stands behind a gilded, ornate chair with an orange cloth covering it, near a garland-decorated deity murti hung with marigold and rose garlands. In the centre a brick fire pit blazes with flames amid offerings. Marigold and red flower garlands, a bowl of fruit, lamps and a kalasha-like vessel sit in front. Around 20-30 seated devotees in white, wearing red and orange garments, sit on striped mats facing the fire, with a few people standing at left. A man in white dhoti stands at the left edge. The man by the chair has a rudraksha-style necklace and gold-coloured ornaments, a cue consistent with the page's a person reference, but the identification is uncertain.2017-06-23Night-time homa at an outdoor ritual platform: a bright sacred fire burns in a brick fire pit on a striped woven mat, surrounded by marigold garlands and small brass vessels. A priest in white dhoti with a yellow-and-gold head garland pours offerings from a brass kalasha-style vessel topped with flowers. Beside him, a bare-chested man in white dhoti and a yellow shawl stands at the edge of the frame. Behind, seated people in white and orange clothes sit on mats, one wearing a rudraksha mala, and a figure in orange stands further back. An oil lamp burns at the lower left. No a person candidate is clearly identifiable by appearance.2017-06-23June 23 20172017-06-23July 04 20162016-07-04February 22 20162016-02-22 +1 copiesJune 23 20172017-06-23July 04 20162016-07-04 +1 copiesA fire ritual in progress: a large tiered brick altar with red, pink and green painted patterns and scattered rose petals holds a blazing fire with smoke rising. The second priest on the right is bare-chested with white dhoti, beaded necklace and white markings on his body. Behind them a seated crowd in white clothes with orange-red shawls and lanyards fills the hall. Brass bowls, flower garlands, fruit and an oil lamp lie on the floor to the right, indicating a homa or yagna.2016-07-04September 17 20152015-09-17July 04 20162016-07-04Night photograph of an outdoor homa at a temple courtyard.
