Photo 11743814July 01 20182018-07-01Night-time outdoor ritual under a corrugated metal roof strung with coloured fairy lights. Dozens of seated participants in white dhotis and saris sit in rows on striped woven mats, many bare-chested men at left and women in white at right. In the centre a raised platform holds a deity murti and a decorated shrine with lit oil lamps and flowers. A figure in a yellow shawl sits on a dark wooden pedestal in the foreground, facing the platform, with a saffron-robed attendant nearby. Rows of small oil lamps line the floor, consistent with a puja or homa setting for the Inner Awakening session.2017-03-16Photo 11695223 +1 copiesA photograph of a covered open-sided pavilion during a Navaratri worship event. At the far end, a decorated deity murti in red and gold garlands sits on a raised shrine with a golden arch, with brass lamps and offerings in front. Devotees in white ritual clothes sit on mats and along the sides, with a bald man in white closest to the camera and several children in white and colourful salwar kameez. Triangular colourful paper decorations and striped banners hang from the roof, and a golden animal statue stands on the left. Approximately 40 people are visible, mostly seated in lines.2008-10-03July 01 20182018-07-01October 13 20152015-10-13 +1 copiesDecember 12 20162016-12-12September 17 20152015-09-17 +1 copiesSeptember 07 20102010-09-07November 13 20102010-11-13 +1 copiesWide night view of an open-air pavilion with a corrugated metal roof strung with multicoloured fairy lights. Dozens of participants sit cross-legged on striped mats across the courtyard, most men bare-chested in white dhotis and women in white sarees. In the foreground, a statue on a dark red pedestal wears a yellow shawl and faces the gathering. At the far end, a decorated altar with a deity murti, a kalasha and lamps is attended by figures in white, with rows of small oil lamps set out before it, consistent with a puja or homa setting. One figure in saffron stands at the right edge near parked vehicles. Photo credit overlay in the lower right corner.2017-03-16
