A homa fire burns inside a square fire pit built from stacked brown bricks, each top brick dusted with white ash-like powder and dotted with red kumkum. A silver bowl with a ladle sits on the brick rim at left, and a red-robed figure with wrists and a bracelet visible sits behind the fire, tending the flames. Scattered petals and a small potted plant appear at the right edge, and brass vessels rest at the left.2014-03-18April 26 20182018-04-26 +1 copiesMarch 06 20162016-03-06January 13 20182018-01-13A photograph of a homa fire burning inside a square brick fire pit at night. Tall orange flames rise from the pit, with sparks drifting upward. Red petals are scattered on the yellow-brown bricks. A metal bowl and offering plates with flowers sit nearby. Blurred figures in white and orange garments and a seated person in white clothing with a bangled wrist appear in the background, out of focus.2011-11-29Photo 11706503 +1 copiesJun 23 2017August 14 20162016-08-14 +1 copiesOctober 12 20182018-10-12 +1 copiesA square fire pit built from yellow-painted bricks with white line decorations and red kumkum dots, with flames rising from neatly stacked wooden sticks inside. Dry grass blades lie across the bricks. Behind the pit, a lit oil lamp sits on a silver stand beside brass plates, one holding white powder, and a metal tray holds dry twigs at the upper left. The setting suggests a homa or yagna fire ritual, though no people are visible.2006-05-05October 03 20182018-10-03Photo 11715241 +2 copies
