Close view of a figure in saffron-orange cloth holding a shallow polished metal tray of coconuts wrapped in golden-yellow fibre and tied with orange cord, a ritual offering. The figure wears a rudraksha bracelet and a layered rudraksha mala with gold ornaments at the neck. Beside the tray stand a copper kalasha-style vessel, a small brass pot and a glowing oil lamp. Behind is a colourful striped cloth and a green leafy decoration. Only the arm, torso and hands are visible, so the face is out of frame.2016-12-19Close photo of a ritual tray held by a person in saffron-ochre robes, with long rudraksha malas hanging at the shoulder. The round steel tray holds two coconuts wrapped in yellow-orange thread, with gold-coloured trinkets and loose yellow strands spilling over the rim. Behind, a lit oil lamp with a brass lamp holder, a green leafy plant, a copper vessel and small brass cups sit on a decorated altar with pink and red cloth. Warm lamplight gives the scene a devotional, puja-like atmosphere.2016-12-19Close view of a seated figure in saffron-orange dhoti and wrap holding a large silver tray heaped with yellow coconuts wrapped in orange thread and sacred cloth. Around the figure's neck are layered rudraksha malas with a gold ceremonial pendant and gold chain, and rudraksha bracelets on the wrist. Beside the tray stand a copper kalasha, a brass cup, a small oil lamp with a flame, and a plate of red and orange flowers, with kumkum in a bowl and a striped cloth behind. This appears to be a puja or abhishekam offering setup; the person's identity cannot be determined from appearance alone.2016-12-19Close view of a ritual offering in a temple setting. A bare-backed man in a saffron-orange dhoti holds a shining metal tray with yellow coconuts wrapped in yellow thread, a gold ornament and a small brass item, supported on his outstretched hand. White horizontal tripundra-like stripes mark his arms and back, with rudraksha beads on his arm and a brown rudraksha mala across his shoulder. Beside him a person in a brown saffron-toned robe stands with hands folded and a long pink and blue flower garland. Behind them hang yellow and red marigold and rose garlands.2016-12-19April 05 20122012-04-05Close-up photo of two turmeric-coated coconuts wrapped with bright yellow cotton thread, resting on a silver tray filled with yellow grains of turmeric-dyed rice. The background is a plain peach-coloured wall. No people are visible, and the scene appears to be a ritual offering arrangement such as a puja or marriage-related ceremony.2012-07-09Close photo of hands of a person in an orange garment with gold border holding a metal plate of yellow and orange flower garlands and marigold petals, with another plate and a yellow garland visible in the background. Blurred figures in orange robes and a patterned floor suggest a ritual setting. White vertical markings on the arm appear to be sacred ash. The photo appears to show a temple offering or puja preparation.2016-12-19October 18 20152015-10-18July 09 20122012-07-09April 05 20122012-04-05Close-up photo of several turmeric-coloured coconuts with husks still on, piled on a round stainless steel tray on a white table. Behind them is a steel bowl holding a folded white cloth, and blurred brass or glass lamps and orange and yellow fabric sit in the background. Coconuts stacked this way suggest ritual offerings, but no people are visible.2013-12-25Close-up photograph of ritual offerings on a wooden board. Two silver plates hold round turmeric-coated balls wrapped with bright yellow threads, and a third plate holds a similar yellow ball with small gold-coloured ritual objects scattered beside it.
